Q:Why should we do business with Parkin?

Q:Is there are downside to using a refilled cartridge?
A:No, but there are many benefits to gain by using a refilled cartridge. Not only are you saving money, but also helping the environment while still maintaining a high quality product.

Q:How much money will I save by refilling?
A:The savings will change depending on which printer you own. As a rule of thumb, you can expect refills to be about 50% of the cost of a new cartridge.
Q:Are your inks as good as the original inks?
A:We use high performance inks that have exactly the same chemical and physical properties as the original inks. We continually strive to source inks that are as close as possible to the originally manufactured product. Our inks are specially formulated for your printer, and there is different ink for almost every cartridge. We try to use inks that have cleaning agents that prevent the printheads clogging. We also strive to use inks that colour match the original colours.

Q:Are recycled laser cartridges inferior to a new cartridge?
A:Not at all. There should be no difference in print quality of all our cartridges. Like we do with ink refills, we use the best toner specifically designed for each individual laser cartridge available, and replace all wearing parts in the toner cartridge. Q:How much time does it take you to refill my inkjet cartridge?
A:Obviously all cartridges are slightly different, but typically it takes between 5 and 10 minutes. All cartridges are fully tested and the printheads ultrasonically cleaned. If for any reason the cartridge does not work properly, there is no charge. We offer you a 'while you wait' service, when possible.

Q:Will using refilled cartridges void the manufacturers warranty?
A:The manufacturers will always advise you against refilling. This is because:-
they genuinely worry that inferior inks will clog the printheads and possibly cause damage to the printer.
inkjet supplies are very profitable for the manufacturers and they will try to scare you into using their product.
The Trade Practices Act protects customers who use another suppliers cartridge. The facts are that if a problem with the printer should occur, then the manufacturer must prove that our inks are the reason for any failure for their warranty to be void. As we use premium inks we can confidently ensure our inks will perform equal to the original. Q:Is there any reduction in the print quality?
A:There should be no change in quality using inks specially formulated for use in your printer.

Q:How many times can a cartridge be refilled?
A:This is variable depending upon the type of cartridge you have, and how well you look after it (also refer to Cartridge Care). For example, we have seen evidence of a Canon BC-02 being refilled many times. It seems a colour always runs out before the others, and if you continue to print, the heat resistors in the printhead will burn out.

Q:Why is it that I was able to have my cartridge refilled by another operator cheaper than the Parkin price?
A:There is always someone who provides a cheaper product or service. They can do this by cutting corners and using inferior materials and providing poor service. Those customers who avail themselves of that provider's products or services are that provider's responsibility.
You may not be aware that some 'new' cartridges you purchase are sometimes recycled.
